Joseph (Joe) Singkeo

Joe Singkeo was born and raised in Seattle, WA. He comes from a large Khmu’ (tribal village in Laos) family of seven. He speaks three different languages: Khmu’, English and Lao. One of Joes’ goals for this blog site is to support local businesses in the Greater Puget Sound Region by giving them a voice through a different avenue.

Currently, Joe is a student at the Washington State University Murrow College of Communication working on his Bachelor’s in Integrated Communication. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Communication from Bellevue College. Joe is a professional in Sales and Marketing with over fifteen years of experience. His career goal is pursue a career in Advertising.

Most recently he worked for Columbia Distributing as a Sale Representative managing large volume key accounts in the Greater Puget Sound Region. During his seven year tenure at Columbia, Joe has been involved in Merchandising, Advertising, Marketing and Sales.

Joe is an active member of his community. As Volunteer Teachers’ Assistant, Joe dedicates his time mentoring inner city youths at various locations with the Catholic Community Services of Western Washington. Joe is also an avid outdoors person who enjoys hiking, snowboarding, local sports and visiting local restaurants and bars.

When Joe’s not busy swimming in school work, blogging or volunteering, you can usually find him saving hikers from sliding tree trunks in one of our beautiful trails of the Pacific Northwest (PNW) 🙂 Joe also reports on local sports in Washington:
